Dirty Old Joe

Hello! And welcome! This is my first post in the blog and I am very inexperienced with blogging, but I decided I have too many stories for them to go unshared. You see, I work in an Assisted Living in the activities department and the old folks have A LOT to say. This is a compilation of my stories with them. All names are changed for privacy reasons. Let's start off with a bang.

Our facility has a Memory Care Unit for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents. I'm going to call it our MCU from now on. I work in this part of the building every Monday afternoon, and some other afternoons, playing games and keeping the residents engaged. One of the gentlemen, let's call him Joe, is a pretty funny guy. He's also a dirty old man, something that I haven't had the opportunity to see until recently, and he's lived in our facility for at least 6 months now.

A few weeks ago, I was over in the MCU and Joe looked at me and asked me if I was married. This is a common question at my work. I responded that I was not and that I was only 19. He told me I was old enough to be married and followed up with, "I bet you'd be good at sex." I was appalled. I'd never heard him say something like this before. One of the CNA's back there gently told Joe that it was inappropriate to say things like that and he apologized.

A few days later, I was working back in the MCU again and I was helping Joe from one of the chairs in the living area over to one of the tables so we could have an activity. In order to help him walk, I have to hold both of his hands in place of him using his walker. It's faster than finding his walker. When he grabs my hands he always makes some remark on whether they're warm or cold. On this particular day he mentioned that my hands were warm. Not one minute later he then said, "I bet your p***y's warm too."

If you don't know what word I'm protecting you from, good. This is about as dirty as my blog will get, but old people are dirty! My friends all got a good laugh from this story and I do as well, so I hope others will too!
